“He who guards his way preserves his soul.” Proverbs 16:17

When we pretend go to a particular place is not enough to have the intention to reach the destination. You need two things besides intention: take the right path and not give up before the end of the journey.

The same happens when we choose to go to God. I speak of going to God, both in the sense of fellowship with Him and in the sense of one day going to dwell in heaven.

Jesus said: “I am the way, and no one comes to the Father but by me” (John 14:6).

What does it mean to walk in “the way Jesus”? it means to walk according to His Word, cause Jesus is the Word of God (John 1:1)

Jesus pointed to two features of this way: “narrow is the way which leads to life, and few there be that find it” (Mt 7:14).

Not just the intention of reaching God, but must walk by the narrow way where there is no room for sin and to love the things of the world (1 John 2:15). So few people go down that path.

If you want to walk on it, you will have to travel down a path almost deserted. Sometimes alone, because this path has very little traffic. However, at all times, you will have a traveling companion, Jesus. He promised to be every day with the pilgrims of  this path. (Matthew 28:20).

Do not be just a well-meaning person,  hell is full of well-meaning persons. Come, walk with me on this journey and together we will get to heaven.
