The Pentecostal Church Assembly of God Restoration Ministry and the Heroes of Faith Evangelical and Missionary Association express their deep regret for the death of missionary Éder Araújo da Rosa. The same occurred on the morning of this Wednesday, June 24, 2020 in the city of Almada, Portugal due to respiratory arrest due to complications from Covid-19.
Born on July 29, 1979 in the city of Taquari / RS, Missionary Éder had lived in Portugal for almost 19 years. Called by God for missionary work, he became a Heroes of Faith missionary in 2010, and has been working full-time in the Lord’s work ever since.
In the Restoration Ministry, he was second in charge of the Lisboa Area and leader of the Almada Congregation. In addition, he served as Secretary of the Board of the church in that country and was also in charge of the Southern Area of Portugal.
Pr. João César Mattos, pastor in charge of the Lisbon Area and supervisor of the work in Europe, and the entire church in Portugal are deeply sorry for his lost. The missionary Éder sang, played instruments, preached and was of great help to all the brothers in Portugal, regardless of the area to which they belonged.
The Lord’s servant leaves his wife, sister Sônia Beatriz dos Santos Araújo da Rosa, and her son, Lucas Araújo da Rosa, 15 years old.
In this difficult moment of farewell, let us pray intensely for the family and friends of this dear warrior of the Lord.
Let us know that our missionary certainly already fully enjoys the precious divine promise: “He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.” (Psalm 126,6)
